Our synergies are born from the hand of Montse Nart, perfumer and aromatologist, who combines sensitivity, scientific criteria and a deep knowledge of the environment to create coherent and effective mixtures. She studies plants, fruits, aromas and the functionalities of essential oils until she finds the exact combination that really brings benefits. Once defined, the synergies rest in the dark for the time necessary for all the components to integrate harmoniously, before being bottled in opaque glass, the ideal container to preserve their quality and purity.
At Shizen'na, quality is the root of everything. We are constantly looking for the best aromatic plants, and this search is almost an obsession shared within the team. The study of each plant and its optimal moment —both in leaf and fruit— is what allows us to obtain the essential oils that will give life to our synergies.
We believe in the value of km 0, and that is why we prioritize native aromatic plants whenever possible. When it is necessary to go further, we do so with the same criteria: sustainable farms, both from our country and from other origins, that guarantee respect for the environment and quality in each harvest.
Our processes are manual or mechanical, always non-polluting, and are accompanied by a rigorous selection of each plant. The moment of harvest, the point of maturity and the way they are treated are key to obtaining a pure and balanced base, ready to become synergies that work.
Our distillation processes are meticulous and respectful, with the exact time each plant needs—no rush, because rush and essences have never made a good match. We work with temperature and pressure controlled to the millimeter, because each flower, leaf or fruit has its own character… and its own method for getting the best out of it.
Once extracted, we study the oils in detail: plants, fruits, aromas and functionalities. From here the definitive synergies are born, which rest in the dark for the necessary time for everything to integrate harmoniously. Only then are they bottled in opaque glass, the ideal container to preserve their quality (and to prevent light from affecting them).
